In 1987 he moved to America from Ghana with his parents. He was trying to start his comedy gigs in 1992 in small local clubs in Philadelphia. Not much is known about his parent's details and siblings.

CAREER
Blackson has been doing stand-up comedy, film, and television shows for 20 years. He came to America in the late '80s. He spent three years in northern New Jersey before moving to Philadelphia, where he settled and began pursuing his dream to become a comedian.

Michael started out performing at various open mic comedy clubs throughout Philadelphia. While performing one of the comedy shows, he was spotted by Ice Cube, who is one of a famous rapper.

He offered him a role as Angry African Man in the film known as Next Friday, and this was a breakthrough in the acting career

In 2005 he released a comedy sketch CD titled Modasucka: Welcome to Africa. He appeared on music videos such as Bad Boys I'll Be in the Sky in 2010. He also featured in a series known as Are We There Yet. In 2019, he appeared in the Wakonda official music video by Akon.
