The "Empire" star recently called it quits with ex-fiancé Kelvin Hayden but is clearly moving on to bigger things.
ABC productions announced that Taraji P. Henson will host the “2020 American Music Awards” (AMAs) on Nov. 22, her first time to host the show.
The American Music Awards is the world’s biggest award show and is seen in more than 200 countries.
Nominees are based on key fan interactions including streaming, album and digital song sales, radio airplay and social activity.
These measurements are tracked by Billboard and its data partners.
The AMA winners are voted entirely by fans.
A quick peek at this year's AMAs
Broadcast will be live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The leading nominees include
The Weeknd and rapper Roddy Ricch, with eight nominations, including Artist of the Year.
First-time nominee Megan Thee Stallion earned five nominations, becoming the most nominated female artist this year.
Whereas the current fan favourite Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, DaBaby and Doja Cat all earned four nominations each.
Apparently one of my favourite singers Dua Lipa will perform at this year’s show.
"I’m proud to take the stage as this year’s host – and also a fan – for what promises to be an electrifying night of music.” Said Henson.
So from breakup with fiancè to hosting one of the world's biggest music award shows, that's touchè!
I can't wait to see the humorous "Mrs. Cookie Lyon" back in action again!
