Beliefs are what define part of who we are but for celebrities, identity matters even more,that is probably why some have gone ahead to abandon beliefs they had while growing up, to those they personally believe suite their taste. Heads up: Some are downright amusing.
Orlando Bloom
In 2004, actor Orlando Bloom officially traded Christianity for Buddhism. Though raised in the Church of England, Bloom became a full member of Soka Gakkai International, an organisation that subscribes to Nicheren Buddhism.
Their philosophy promotes peace, culture and education centered on respect for the dignity of life.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor once said, “The philosophy that I’ve embraced isn’t about sitting under a tree and studying my navel. It’s about studying what’s going on in my daily life, and using that as fuel to go and live a bigger life.”
Tom Cruise
The "Mission: Impossible" actor was raised as a Catholic, but set aside his faith upon moving to Hollywood.

She is perhaps best known for her role in the comedy 'Wedding Crashers'. Isla Fisher was raised in a Methodist family.
Fisher converted to Judaism and even took the Hebrew name Ayala.
She told Allure magazine in 2009, “I never saw it as a losing or gaining situation, just an embracing situation.”
The three main beliefs at the center of Judaism are belief in one God, Identity, and covenant (an agreement between God and his people).
The most important teachings of Judaism is that there is one God, who wants people to do what is just and compassionate.
Brad Pitt
Though he grew up in a Baptist household.
But in 2007, Pitt told Parade Magazine “I’d go to Christian revivals and be moved by the Holy Spirit, and I’d go to rock concerts and feel the same fervor. Then I’d be told, ‘That’s the devil’s music! Don’t partake in that! I wanted to experience things religion said not to experience.”
Pitt ultimately declared himself an atheist. Still, Pitt admits that he sees the good in religion.

In 2012, he became a Rastafarian and most recently in 2018, he claimed to be a born again Christian and went ahead to drop a 32 track gospel album.
However some Christians spoke against his Christian album because of his rocky past. He was notorious for his involvement in the drug scene and was constantly caught up in a scandal.
Ivana Marie "Ivanka" Trump
She's the daughter of President Trump and his first wife, Ivana.
Raised a Presbyterian Christian, Trump converted to Orthodox Judaism in July 2009.
She is the first Jewish member of a first family, having converted before marrying her husband, Jared Kushner.
