The Nigerian music scene, in the space of 3months, has witnessed a myriad of debut releases ranging from EPs to albums and singles while some of these releases didn't get the desired attention, some showed promise 'Full Moon Weekend' is one of those.
The 5 track EP exudes chill vibes, this is chill music. it's also in his voice, spanning over 12minutes he sings about love and the wahala that comes with it. On Magic, the Ep's opener, he sings about lost love you could almost hear the regret in his opening lines 'Said you never leave and then you leave girl I'm so stupid' assisted by the mesmerizing vocals of OlayinkaEhi. The mood is mellow on this slow tempo free-flowing cut. Magic is well, a magical track.
Next up is +234, an undeniable bop with catchy lyrics this joint is quite addictive, you could end up humming it on end for hours, trust me I've been at it.
Following closely behind +234 is Space, one of the EPs outstanding songs, where he sings about a stale love and the difference in opinion on what the relationship was, Akin is fed up though and asking for space. Dope track.
He takes us on one of his hoecassions on 2:25, pulling up at her crib at 2:25am doing unspeakable things to this woman, this song is only for 2:25 minutes, I thought that was a nice touch. The final song is Energy, a jam that I think has the potential to get mad mainstream appeal. Full Music Weekends is exactly what the name insinuates, its about vibes. This EP is an impressive project and solid debut for the singer.
