There was nothing that worked for me, the hustle was really tough, going from pupil teaching, a labourer at a cashew farm, an errand [0x1f652] boy for my uncle who had building project to ensure he would help [0x1f636] me when I apply for university. Everything just looked like it was all in vain[0x1f625], nothing to show for it. It appeared as if the whole world was on my shoulders [0x1f634], there was no one to help, my parents really suffered than I later found out and I really really cried [0x1f653] to the Lord to Have Mercy [0x1f60e] on me. A one square gari meal was something sometimes I had to reserve for my younger brothers and sister to eat after school. Kinaata never fails us when it comes to his moral music, this song reminds me of how I took everything about my finances into my own hands, but in the end, I just realized that nothing was working without God. And all that came to mind was to ask for Mercy [0x1f636]. The very lesson this song reminds [0x1f615] me of is that, without mercy from the Lord, no matter what you without the Lord, it won't make sense.
