Dekel Bor wields jazz with classical music, electronics and classic rock into truly unique vision of what life in the 21st century sounds like. Dekel’s once-in-a-life-time story translates into music in the simplest way - passion for life.

Raised in a musical family, Dekel began his career performing in pulsating bars and clubs of the now-famous Tel Aviv jazz scene.
Dekel graduated with honors from New-School University.

After a short stint in Copenhagen with European bass legend Niels-Henning Orsted-Pedersen,
Dekel moved to New York in 2001, where he performed with such jazz legends as Johnny Griffin, Reggie Workman, Pat Martino, Billy Hart, and modern jazz stars Roy Hargrove & Donny McCasslin; collaborated with modern dance star David Parsons; recorded for Alicia Keys, and collaborated with the Israeli Phiharmonic.

In June 2020 Dekel joins today’s genre-defining artists, and long-time friends Snarky Puppy, Aaron Parks, Logan Richardson & Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah with his Ropeadope Records debut, produced by Grammy award winning producer, Robert Sadin (Sting, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter) - Dekel’s longtime mentor.
