Michael Takyi-Frimpong known by the stage name Lord Paper was born on October 11. He is a Ghanaian soul, Afrobeats and hip hop musician. He is best known for his 2016 single "Awurama". Career
Lord Paper was born in Accra but hail from Mampong, a suburb of Mampong Municipal District, a town in the Ashanti Region. He completed his senior high school education at Swedru Secondary School in the year 2008 and attended University of Ghana in 2013 for his undergraduate degree.
He entered the music scene 2010 after leaving his job as an actor in South Africa to pursue full-time music in Ghana back in 2014. He became famous when he released his debut controversial single and video Awurama in 2016 but the song was criticised over the sexually explicit content of the music video. He later released a series of singles like “Pono” “Sika Duro” “Like God Fu*k Up” and “Financial Rape” both in 2016.
Achievements
Lord Paper has got a chance to win himself some of the best awards music has got to offer and also nominated like in the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when he was nominated for Record Of The Year and Best New Artiste Of The Year and in 2021 for Song of the Year. Also during the 2019 MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards, he got nominated for Best Male Video.
