24-Year-old Siviwe Nkanyuza professionally and artistically known as “Kimosabe” is fast becoming one of the most prolific producer, songwriters and artists on the African continent.
In 2017 Kimosabe self-released the “Nights” EP on Soundcloud, the record was rated 5 stars by the most influential urban culture magazine “Hype”. YFM, South Africa’s premier youth station added 450SL to high rotation and the song would go onto to become one of the most played songs on the station. In the same year Kimosabe was the featured vocalist on the record breaking hit single “Vices” by Royal K. The single spent a record “8 weeks” on top of the 5FM Dance charts.
Following a global publishing deal with SonyATV in 2016, Kimosabe signed a worldwide record deal the following year with David Gresham Records and has released two singles “More than you” & “Rich Man”, the latter of which has been on the 5FM charts for 9 weeks.
April 2018 will see the launch of the highly anticipated debut album by Kimosabe, the albums title “The People that we love” pays tribute to the tumultuous relationships that everyday people have with loved ones, acquaintances and their careers.
Kimosabe has written and produced over 25 hit singles for other prominent artists in South Africa, topping the charts & being nominated to South African Music Awards, artists include Cassper Nyovest, DJ Dimplez, DJ Clock, Chrizz Beats, Royal K, DJ Shimza, Zikhona, Lloyd Cele, Thato & 2Wice Shy to name a select few.
