Kaey is a Nigerian Singer and Songwriter whose real name is Success Ojugbo Ijeh was born in Ibadan but grew up in South Africa for awhile, before she eventually returning to Lagos with her family. Her music career began at the early age of 8 when she started playing the guitar in her primary school’s music class, and by the time she turned 12 she had begun writing and singing her own songs. She enrolled at Pefti Academy where she studied media and performing arts. She grew up listening to artists such as Akon, Psquare and a lot of reggae too. She calls her type of music genre-less which means she can easily make any type of music depending on her mood. Vocally, she draws inspiration from Beyonce, and in terms of songwriting she admires Ed Sheeran and her favourite Artist Of All Time is Sasha Alex Sloan. Kaey released her debut single titled Oath in June 2021.
