As a teen Xavier Valdez dreamed of being a law enforcement officer until a friend handed him a guitar. He was mesmerized almost instantly and so his musical journey began in that moment.
In 2016 Xavier joined with a group of fellow musicians to create the LA- based band MR CALL, but soon began to explore the idea of a solo career and a brand new sound. He left the group in late 2019 and by Spring 2020 Xavier released his first solo single, Animal, with great success on streaming platforms.
Xavier immediately began working with sound engineer Austin Asvanonda (The War on Drugs, The Rolling Stones) to create his definitive new sound, and in August 2020 he debuted the EP, SUN.
With a tumultuous start to 2021 Xavier went back into the studio to collaborate with producer Carter Jahn (One Republic, The War on Drugs) and sound engineer Austin Asvanonda this time to work on two new singles. The first single “Nightmares” delves into relationship fantasies and presents a whole new elevated sound. The second single "We'll Meet Again" describes a melancholy feel about reflection and time lost.
