Frederick A. Mattey, born 17th June, in the 90s at Jamestown, a suburb of Accra. He has 5 mixtapes and dozens of singles to his credit which totals to over 70 songs since he started recording in 2009. In 2010, Kula recorded and released “Call to Rector”, a song which addressed students’ grievances in Ho Technical University where he was a student. The Rector of the institution heard the song and most of the complaints were rectified. Eg. Extension of examination period from 2weeks to 3weeks, A Path from V-block to the auditorium, making the journey shorter (unofficially called Kula Walkway), streetlights from Central Hall to GetFUND hall, School Security Personnel uniform upgrade, etc.

In 2014, his song “Ahoe RoundAbout” became the biggest Hip-hop song from and about Ho, the Volta Regional Capital. Till date, no other Hip-hop song has topped that.

In 2017, his song GoDJ, which gave shoutouts to 60+ Ghanaian DJs was made the official song for Ghana DJ Awards 2017.
