Zaki is one of Nigeria’s uprising and inspiring talents whose cheerful, hardworking and effortlessly creative attitude shines through the melodic sounds he creates. Born Okikiolu Tolulope Awoyele, in Ijebu-Ode, Zaki’s dream for making music started from when he was a little boy, who used to follow his mum to the studio to watch her record before producing music as a hobby in Ife where he schooled, to finally making it a profession years later. His music is influenced by artistes such as, Wande Coal, Psquare, John Bellion and Fela Kuti and others.

Zaki’s style is spiced with music in different genres and subgenres ranging from afrobeats to r ‘n’ b to amapiano. In fact, he likes to experiment on different genres to create unique music. Some of the notable songs produced by him include, DESIGNER by Tekno in 2020, LOML by Cheque ft Olamide in 2021, JAFAFA by Chinko Ekun ft Mohbad in 2021, SEE LOVE by Peruzzi in 2021. He also worked together with Liya on her famed debut album ALARI, which was released in the year 2021. Zaki has received several commendations from various artistes and music lovers, who used words like, “genius”, “banger”, “brain-bursting”, “fire” to describe his works. As Zaki aims to give back, as much talent as he was given, he will continue to enchant us with his magic.
His new single, SOLO, reflects his experiences over the years, feelings influenced by events surrounding his life and his passion for excellence and beaut as it draws out a superb sound and groovy beat with his melodious voice.
