We know The Witcher season 3 is happening, but we don’t know when. All we know right now is that it’s not coming in June 2022.
That’s right; we have double-checked the list of Netflix releases in June just in case, but the series definitely isn’t on the list. The wait for The Witcher season 3 is still on.
This isn’t too surprising. We’re not expecting the series any time soon. We may not even get it before the end of 2022. That doesn’t stop us hoping for a miracle and looking out for any sort of update on the series.
With filming underway, it will mean post-production should get started before the end of the year. That doesn’t mean we’re expecting the season to arrive before 2022 ends. Instead, we’re looking at 2023 at the earliest. We’re expecting Blood Origins to come this year instead.
The question is whether Netflix will pull the release forward from a December release. So far, both the first and second seasons have been released in December of their respective years. This was due to the way the seasons were ready to air. Will that change if the show is ready to be released sooner? Netflix will want to get it to fans as soon as possible, so we could see a summer 2023 release.
We have a few new characters to look forward to seeing, including Milva and Mistle. The great thing about this show is that it tries to keep us in the know without releasing too many spoilers, which keeps the show on the mind of the fans.
