Kudakwashe Chapepa, popularly called Kae Chaps is a Zimbabwean musician who hails from the Rugare suburb in Harare. He gained recognition after a video of the Live performance of his song “Juzi” went viral.
Before “Juzi” Kae Chaps had dropped several other singles like Kilimanjaro, Mavanga, Makuhwa, and Six Malabel. The tracks earned him notable fame in Zimbabwe. Following a near-death experience when he was attacked on his way back from performance, he recorded and released the album “Vanga” in the ending months of 2020.
In February 2021, he released the song “Juzi.” It is the story of a man who struggles to get closure following a failed relationship. His ex also leaves her jersey at his place which reminds him of her. He calls her to come and take it away as it keeps tormenting him. The song went viral following a Live performance of it....more
