As a result of his distinct voice and prolific professional career, Orkortor Perry managed to win the affection and admiration of the Ghanaian people. He is a composer, singer and song writer from the Central Region of Ghana specifically Cape Coast. If you combine Highlife and an electro- instrumentation, the fusion will let you come to understand a bit of the sound of Ghanaian Hip-Life. Orkortor Perry is an afrobeat and hiplife artist.

He has emerged as one of the key players in the Ghanaian music renaissance, merging musical traditions past and present. His ambient and meditative compositions, incorporating hip-life, reflect the folklore influences of his early years.
Yet with his hiplife-like sound effects and thematic preoccupation with nature, also serve as an expression of how growing up in the Africa specifically Sub Saharan, in proximity to the Fanti tribe, impacted his outlook on the world.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

George Perry Atta-Mensah popularly known as Orkortor Perry by stage name hails from Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana. He is born to Mr. John Atta-Mensah and Mrs. Regina Eshun. He had his basic education at Amanful Catholic Boys school in Cape Coast and completed his high school at University Practice Senior High School and later furthered to Cape Coast Polytechnic and had his top up at the University of Cape Coast.

MUSIC CAREER

Growing up as a kid following and imitating Eminem as an idol. He could rap all of Eminem’s lyrics at age fourteen. A close friend who was also with the same passion helped him nurtured. The friend taught him how to write his own songs and rehearsed timing with him on every playing instrumentation. The has come a long way till date. He his doing outstanding music. He falls in the hip-life genre in Ghana. He seek to attain higher heights with his craft. He has attain recognition and awards with his music craft.
