Born Tárico Caifaz Samuel Simbine, DJ Tarico is a DJ and record producer from Mozambique. Many of DJ Tarico songs become very popular and trendy online with a great number of streaming and downloads on Boomplay.

Career
When he was 14 in Secondary School, he solidified his love for music by joining an all-boys group. They would go to Reginald Studios. They taught him how to produce, write and make music while a neighbour taught him to DJ when he was 14. After two years, one of the members of the group died and the studio closed. On his own, DJ Tarico started to bootstrap his way towards getting noticed.
At 21 in 2014, DJ Tarico took the music seriously and started to get noticed in 2016 as a producer. He came to promimence for his smash hit single "Yaba Buluku" which also boast of a top notch remix with the African giant, Burna Boy. He released his first album "Moz Piano" in 2020.
He released "Moz Piano" vol. 2 in 2021 and it gave rise to the international smash hit single "Yaba Buluku" which also has a remix with the Nigerian afrobeat sensation, Burna Boy. He has released other singles such as; Gimme Ratata, Number One and Nao Te Fica Bem.
He came through with his debut album "Moz Piano", in 2020, with much inspiration from the fusion of Amapiano and elements of Mozambican Pop music.
Achievements
He was given four nominations at the 2021 AFRIMMA awards, some of which are:
• He was nominated as the producer of the year
• One of his song was nominated as the song of the year
• He was nominated as best African collaboration
• He was nominated as the best male artist in southern Africa
