I wasn't always a Christian. Like all of us, God was not my first choice. With my mom born and raised in May pen, Jamaica and my dad from Cocoa Beach, Florida I have what you could say, a very culturally, diverse lifestyle. One of which was heavily in the church, I believed in the existence of God and angels based on the fact that I had been through some things early in my childhood that only God could've of delivered me from. I had what I thought was a pretty healthy fear of God but I had yet to fully commit my life to Christ. I lived with a 'one foot in, one foot out' mentality for a long time until Christ began to reveal to me the true emptiness and darkness of this world. Deception was to my left and my right and I could no longer sit comfortably in the recliner of ignorance because it no longer existed.
Not able to ignore my convictions, I began making small steps towards Christ, and in doing so, I lost the desire to do the things I once did, and I lost people who I thought were my friends. I say all this to say that, it wasn't a robust life, full of money, friends, and happiness that brought me to where I am today. It was the absolute, realization that without Christ, I am hopeless. I have no reason to live with no light at the end of the tunnel.
By no means is this journey easy, but it is the most fulfilling and purposed filled life because I'm living it for something much bigger than myself.<br>
