Kiff No Beat is an Ivorian hip -hop group from Abidjan. It was formed in 2009, and consists of five members. Many of Kiff No Beat songs become very popular and trendy online with a great number of streaming and downloads on Boomplay.

The group began by making a name for themselves on the stages of Abidjan, before becoming known to the general public thanks, among other things, to their victory in the televised hip-hop competition Faya Flow. Kiff No Beat also has its own stage group, made up of musicians and dancers. They are grouped under the collective YMG, YaFoy Music Gang, 13pharaons. In 2017, they became the first to sign under the Universal Music Africa label.

Career
The members of the group, which was formed in 200, Kiff No Beat are from Abidjan. Originally, the group included Gnahoré Okou Camille (Black K), N'wolé Brice (Elow'n) and Bassa Zéréhoué Diyilem (Didi B), united under the name KNB. On the other hand, there was the Jekboyz duo made up of Kouakou Jonathan Charley (Joochar), Konan Franck Guy Mares (El Jay).

It is the fusion, in 2009, of KNB and Jekboyz, which will give birth to the group Kiff No Beat. The name Kiff No Beat is an invitation to pay attention to the works, actions, and messages of the group through its music.

Black K, Eljay, Elow'n, Didi B, and Joochar formed Kiff No Beat in 2009, combining their diverse influences into a collective style that allowed each member to shine while working together in a tight unit.

After cutting their teeth for a year, they participated in Faya Flow, the country's biggest rap competition, and won top prize:

The diversity of the musical genres practiced (RnB, ragga, dancehall, rap, pop) and the elaborate choreographies constitute a particularity that distinguishes this group of young artists who are all in their twenties. These assets allowed the group to be the winner of the biggest rap competition in Côte d'Ivoire, Faya Flow organized in 2010 by Orange Côte d'Ivoire and JACH (Jeunesse Active de la Culture Hip-hop). Didi B explains that the group"won a laptop and 200,000 CFA (about 300 euros, NLR).

After winning the 2010 Faya Flow hip-hop competition in their native Abidjan, Ivorian collective Kiff No Beat spent the next five years cementing their status as breakout stars with an eclectic but unified sound that encompassed rap, trap, R&B, and pop. Through projects like 2014's Pétards d'Ados and 2015's Cubisme, the quintet expanded their audience beyond Ivory Coast, eventually landing a major label deal with Universal Music Africa. After focusing on singles for several years, the group returned with 2019's full-length Bledard Is the New Fresh.

With their winnings, they enlisted producer Shado Chris to help them record their first album.

Released in 2011, Cadeau de Noël built on their initial success and was followed in 2012 by the 23-track Jackson Five mixtape. It was the group's 2014 release, Pétards d'Ados, and its lead single "Tu Es dans Pain, "however, that helped them break out to a larger international audience throughout parts of Africa, France, and even in the U.S. Quick to capitalize on their momentum, they issued the Cubisme mixtape in 2015, while keeping up a steady stream of singles including the hit 2016 collaboration "Approchez Regardez. "Stepping up to the majors, they signed with Universal Music Africa in 2017 and released the single "Pourquoi Tu Dab. "A brief 7-song mixtape called Made in Bled appeared in 2018 and featured a track with Malian star Sidiki Diabaté.

The following year, Kiff No Beat offered up their first major-label album with Bledard Is the New Fresh. Several more singles appeared over the coming year including the hit "La Go. "

Kiff No Beat is mainly distinguished by its eclecticism, in particular due to the diverse inspirations of the group. They thus developed a specific musical genre, the Dirty Décalé, born from a mixture between the American Dirty South and the Ivorian coupé-décalé. Their albums and mixtapes are generally very representative of this diversity of musical influences.
