Joel Serrano, better known by his stage name JayteKz, is an American artist from Chicago, Illinois. As a child, he often moved from home to home as his father was incarcerated for almost all of his life. Only recently, his father's conviction was overturned and JayteKz has been reunited with him to work to build on the 25+ years he was missing from his life. Before launching his music career, JayteKz was a student at Columbia college, where after one year he chose to pursue his dreams of following a music career that has been flourishing ever since.
