Kholi

Chukwuemeka Okolie, better known as Kholi was born and raised in Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria. Many of Kholi's Songs became very popular and trendy on social media in line with a great number of streaming and downloads on Boomplay.

He is from a family of five of which he is the only son. His father was in the force and his mother is still in the force. He graduated from Renaissance University in 2017 where he majored in Business Administration and obtained a B.A from the said university.

Career
Kholi is an Afro pop and RnB singer, songwriter, and producer, who got into music at a very early age, when he would sing in church. He learned to sing around his siblings and friends and now he sings for a larger audience. He then went on to teach himself how to play the musical instruments such as the keyboard and drums. Not satisfied with mediocrity and bent on achieving excellence in all he did, he put his all in his craft and it paid. He was and still is a very determined and unusual young man, focused on his dreams and very eager to share his gift with the world at large.

As an artist, Kholi had been unofficially putting out songs but they had gone unnoticed. However, he remained consistent in doing what he did and in February 2017 he performed at an event, and this performance caught the attention of Gospel.

The Flux Factory's huncho asked to see him. That became his first contact with Flux Factory's CEO. And the rest as they say is history. The following year, Kholi released his first official single "Showa" on the 14th of September 2018 featuring one of the industry's finest- L.A.X and produced by Gospelondebeatz. The video was directed by Paul Gambit. In 2019, Kholi participated in the #Davidofreestylechallenge which came out as one of the best with over 10,000+ views on twitter, 19,000+ views on Instagram and was listed in the top ten Jams of the week by popular internet sensation Tunde Ednut.

After so much buzz and demand for the release of the freestyle, Kholi recorded the freestyle and dropped it as an official single on the 18th of March, 2019. The video was shot by Deji Kale. He has since then remained a sensation in the hearts of everyone who cannot get enough of his music. Kholi's music has been inspired by the likes of Wizkid, Davido, Wandecoal, Bruno Mars, Tory lanez and a host of other amazing musicians around the world. His love for music has kept him on his toes, ensuring that he does the best in every venture.

On the 18th November, 2018 Kholi was officially announced as a flux factory Artiste and since then Kholi has consistently hit various milestones in his musical career that can only have been achieved through hard work and dedication. In August 2019, he featured the Mayor of Lagos on a Single, Hadiza. Due to the success of the song, kholi had to perform the song at the 2019 "Big Brother Naija" house with Alternate Sound.

The beginning of the year 2020, was a new dawn for the talented and hardworking artist. Discovering his sound, kholi put out a four track EP titled "TATU" which has garnered massive love from fans all over. Kholi's style of music and branding direction defiles the ordinary. It has been described as an enigma. It makes him an artiste to watch out for, because it is obvious that he is just getting started.

Nigerian newcomer Kholi recently shared his new album, Stones to Diamonds. Its 9 songs see the artist going in on topics of love over a blend of afropop, amapiano, jazz, R&B and even bachata beats. Get into the addictive album highlight "Gamble" and get amazed.
